These are Sashiko (or Sashico) needles made in Japan. There is a 4.5cm & 6cm long needle in each pack.
Sashiko is a form of Japanese embroidery that uses mainly running stitch. The needles are longer than normal to enable a number of stitches to be stitched at once. The needles are especially designed with a large hole and a sharp point and have a gold eye to protect against rusting. Shorter needles are mainly used on light weight fabrics and are easier for beginners to use. Longer needles are suitable for heavier fabrics.
